- Magnesium Oxide Fire
Resistance Boards also known as MGO Fire Resistance Boards (MFR Boards),
Magnesium Oxychloride Boards are products with good fire resistance,
good heat insulation and good sound insulation.
- These Boards are
environment friendly and non-toxic.
- MGO Boards are made
from Magnesium Oxide (Powder form commonly known as Magnesia), Magnesium
Chloride, fillers like fly ash reinforced with glass fiber or natural
fibers.
- MGO Boards can be used
for Wall Partitioning, in Fire resistance doors, in system furniture
partitions, as ceiling boards, as heat insulation for roofing
etc.
- Magnesium oxide suitable for
the use in basic refractories was prepared from dolomite (CaMg(CO3)2) by
hydrochloric acid leaching, precipitation with CO2 and thermal
hydrolysis.
- The magnesium oxide needed
for making the boards is obtained from Magnetite or Dolomite.
- In case of Dolomite the
calcium and magnesium oxides formed on calcining Dolomite are first
separated through a leaching out process.
- MgO board is available for
building construction and comes in various thicknesses and sheet sizes.
- It also comes in various
grades, such as smooth finishes, rough textures, and utility grades.
- Currently MgO board is
available from several commercial distributors who have business
alliances with the producers overseas.
- The emerging MgO board
industry in the USA is well along in developing the necessary technical
backup information to allow its use in our market.
- Production and distribution
of MgO board is being expanded rapidly to meet the high demand around
the world–including the potentially enormous North American construction
