  • Ginger's essential oil is extracted by steam distillation from the unpeeled or dried ground-up root (rhizome) of the plant. It can yield about 2 - 4 % oil. Ginger Oil is pale yellow to amber in colour.
  • Ginger Oil is a multi purpose essential oil that is very useful for reducing inflammation. In a massage oil or liniment, its heating action relieves pain from arthritis or sore muscles, menstrual cramps, and headaches.
  • Ginger oil can vary in color from pale yellow to a darker amber color and the viscosity also ranges from medium to watery.
  • Ginger Oil is used in India since the Vedic ages. It is a multipurpose essential oil
    which is very useful for reducing inflammation and also it is Anti-phlegmatic.
  • Ginger Oil is Anti-Emetic, so it is widely used in case of Motion sickness and also morning sickness in case of Pregnant lady.

  • The Ginger essential oil has various chemical constituents including the following: Borneol, Citral, Cineole, Alpha and Beta
    Zingiberene, Camphene, Limonene, Phellandrene, Beta Bisabolene and Neral.
  • Ginger oil is commercially important as about 10 to 15 tones of this oil are estimated to be used annually in the world as a
    flavoring agent for soft drinks, bitters cordials, liquors, bakery products, pickles, sauces, preserves, etc.
